Our Journey's Theme Song

Welcome to the Family

This was a song on an album my family listened to growing up and when I heard it again a few years back we decided to TRY to make it our family's theme song especially with our upcoming adoption. We will try to live up to the lyrics.

Welcome to the family,
We're glad that you have come to share your life with us
As we grow in love and may we always be to you,
What God would have us be a family always there,
To be strong and to lean on.

May we learn to love each other more with each new day.
May words of LOVE be on our lips in ev'rything we say.
May the spirit melt our hearts and teach us how to pray,
That we might be a true family...

The Summer Begins - June

We made our first trip to Cedar Point for the summer. Megan was a big fan of the roller coasters and even put her arms up. She takes after her mom.

Memorial Weekend 2008

We had fun at the campground. Grandpa had a little camping accident, but we still had to work to keep up with him. Megan is finally catching on to the big bike. Hopefully we can get rid of the training wheels by the end of summer.
We tried to have Megan spend her first night at the camper, but Grandma brought her home around 10 pm. Next time...

Tyler is a little dare devil and always tries to find the biggest hills to jump.

Spring Soccer 2008

We had a 5 week intense soccer season. This was Tyler's first organized sport. He had a great time and made some new friends. He even scored a goal in
the last game. (We count it even though he kind of fell on top of the ball.)

Good Morning

Our little beauty queen has quite a morning hairdo.

Megan's 3rd Birthday

We celebrated Megan, Justin, Ryan and Mark's Birthdays at Shelley and Jay's house. We also celebrated with the Postma's with cousins Johnathan and Maddy.

Aunt Jean's 50th Birthday

Tulip Time 2008

Check out the video my kids made at school about Tulip Time!

Spring Break 2008

Heather's high school friend Sue got married in Mexico so what a great excuse to take a trip (with no

kids.) It was a belated 10 year anniversary trip. Friends Pat and Susan met up with us for the second part of the trip. I have to say we really enjoyed having no responsibilities and lounging around in the sun.

Easter - March 2008

We went to Resthaven for an Easter Egg hunt. We had fun sledding at Justin and Natalie's house.

Grandma Van is 90!

We helped Grandma Van celebrate her 90th Birthday!

Christmas - 2007 with the Postma's
